For a consistent, high performance oats, we like ROZMAR. With excellent resistence to Crown Rust and ability to thrive in a range of site and weather conditions, it is a most reliable variety giving Spring Oat growers very good yields. Alternatively, you could try CONWAY, not as tall as ROZMAR and later to mature, it has respectable treated and untreated yields and good resistance to mildew. The other favourite variety is ATEGO, known for producing bright, white, sweet-tasting flour. It matures early and produces consistent high yields and stiff straw.

For a well-established Winter Oat, look no further than GERALD, it has a poor rating for mildew but is good quality. MASCANI is a rival to GERALD, with good quality and excellent hullaility it is highly favoured by millers. The relative newcomer in the Winter Oat market is RHAPSODY, the highest yielding variety, 11% better than MASCANI and 8% better than GERALD, it produces medium straw and is exceptionally resistent to mildew and crown rust.
