It is very palatable with a high proportion of its roots in the ground and due to its high dry matter content it is more frost resistant than other varieties. Force Magna is a new seed treatment containing tefluthrin as its active ingredient.

Tefluthrin is acknowledged as having a very good activity against a wide range of soil living pests partly due to its strong vapour action - allowing it to more efficiently control pests in the soil surrounding the fodder beet seedlings. The pests which can be controlled by Force include man gold fly, millipede, pygmy beetle and wireworm.
