Agronomy Services

Field walking

One of our BASIS and FACTS registered and experienced agronomists will visit and review your land and crops throughout the growing season. Timing of the visits can be aligned to the key stages of the crop growing process.

We provide tailored guidance on the most appropriate and cost effective management of your fields and crops. Our aim is to resolve your issues and improve productivity. Our agronomy recommendations are sent to you by post or e-mail providing you with the cross compliance information you need to ensure you know what to apply, when to apply it and how to apply it.

Soil Sampling

The most valuable resource you have on your farm is soil. Our experienced soil sampling team can come to the farm or we can supply a sampling pack for you to take the samples yourselves. Once we get the results back from the lab, we will provide you with a bespoke soil nutrient plan.  Our FACTS trained staff can discuss your soil requirements for the growing season.

Crop Husbandry

PRAg are qualified to advise on all aspects of crop husbandry from crop nutrition to weed control - whether it's maize, barley, fodder beet or wheat - we've looked after 1000's of acres of crops in West Wales.

Let us help you ensure you get the best profit margins from your crops by making the right decisions, including: timing of nitrogen applications for winter cereals and grassland, weed control in autumn sown grass leys, variety choice for all grasses and fodder crops, most suitable liming products, nutrient content of slurry and FYM, fungicide timing and additive choice.
